Europeanclassix.com is the brainchild of two good friends, Axel and Hansjörg. They moved to Southern California from Germany 2 decades ago. We are serious scooter, motorcycle and car collectors with a never ending hunger for more fun to deal with unusual historical vehicles. Unfortunately space as well as funds are sometimes quite limited, so we decided to buy, keep and sell our stunning vehicles on a regular basis to get the most fun out of the cars and bikes that go through our hands.

For nearly 20 years we have been around classic vehicles, Axel as a hands-on mechanic not shy of getting his hands dirty on the job, and Hansjörg with a charming personality and plenty of business sense to maintain valuable connections digging out even the most hidden treasures. Backed by our families we enjoy greatly what we are doing, as we are almost certain you will enjoy dealing with us; .."you might come as a customer but will leave as a friend!"

Over the years we have bought and worked with literally hundreds of classic cars and motorcycles shipping many of them to the European continent. But times have changed, so it made a lot of sense to look the other way to bring European car culture here to the United States. The looks you get when driving a cute little bubble car like a Fiat 500 or an Austin Mini Cooper down the city's main cruising strip are really something.

The quality of our vehicles is of great importance to us. Our philosophy is to buy nothing but the best, as we do not see any sense in wasting our time as well as yours with half done restoration projects and vehicles that have been beaten to death over their lifetime. While we are certain that it is lots of fun to restore a vehicle and bring it back to life (Axel had his share on those), we ourselves like to stay away from those projects. Nevertheless, if you like us to locate a very rare specimen in dire need of restoration, we will gladly try to help if we can. What we cannot do for you is to complete a full blown restoration of a vehicle to museum standards.

A classic vehicle that fascinates us most is therefore either fully restored to show condition or one that has been hidden and kept in unbelievable original condition. Those get us very excited as we are sure that they will make your heart beat faster as well. Just like the unbelievable find of a brand new 1961 IWL Berlin Scooter with 00004km on the clock. To find something like this in the deepest Saxon forest of the former GDR is surely an experience hard to top (next to German beer and bread), and that's why we love to do what we do.
